Once again the in-person BASEF event has been changed to an online format to protect the health and safety of students, volunteers and visitors.

Students that register for BASEF 2021 will be competing in an Online Fair.  There are still over $175,000 in prizes to be awarded, including Merit Awards, BASEF Inspiration Awards of $500 each, cash Special Awards, Scholarships, and much more!

Judging will proceed online after project submissions close, and the BASEF 2021 Awards Show will be live-streamed on April 8th 2021

Step 1 :

Click on the Register Now to register your Project.  You will need your Project title, description, school information, and student information.  Once you complete the Registration Form, you will receive a Registration ID Number to use with your Online Project Submission.

 

Step 2 : BASEF Online Project Submissions

For your Online Project submission, we will ask you to upload the following items:

  • The completed BASEF Consent Form
  • A picture of the student(s) standing in front of the backboard or project
  • A digital image of the backboard panels – pictures or PDF file – or a SlideShow
  • A one-page Project Abstract
  • A Project Report (maximum 25 pages) and optional appendices
  • Some examples from your Work Journal (pictures) or a Journal document
  • A Video Presentation, uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted video, 8 minutes maximum

You can use a scanner or a mobile device (cell phone, tablet) camera to take pictures of forms and backboards.

If your project is in French, you are welcome to submit all materials (backboard, abstract, report and video) in French. Si votre projet est en français, vous-êtes le bienvenu de soumettre vos matériaux en français (placard, abstrait, rapport, vidéo)
