Abstract The purpose of this project was to create a hydraulic-powered prosthetic limb that could be used on land and aquatic turtles. We wanted to create a second chance for Painted turtles, one of eight native/endangered turtles in Ontario. This prosthetic is the first for pond and lake turtles and the first ever multi moving prosthetic limb for all animals.
