Abstract Horses are incredibly prone to peptic ulcers in the modern horse world, and diagnostics can be incredibly expensive. While qualities such as an abnormal BCS or poor coat are commonly regarded as signs of poor nutrition, little research has been done connecting ulcers and outward appearance. Understanding the physical qualities associated with ulcers can enable horse owners to make more informed decisions about equine health.
