Abstract Smart Hard Hat is an Arduino-based prototype designed to help keep hard hat wearers (miners, construction workers, etc.) safe in their workplace. The device can easily attach to any hard hat and check for dangers related to dust concentration, gases in the air, worker’s heart rate, and temperature. SHH also detects objects behind and above worker’s heads and warns them, potentially preventing head injuries.
