Abstract The purpose of this experiment is to analyze fingerprints within various families to determine if fingerprints are inherited, and to see if there is a correlation between the types of fingerprints and the person’s personality and gender. I will do this using the FBI classification of fingerprints: radial loop, ulnar loop, double loop, central pocket loop, plain arch, tented arch, plain whorl, and accidental.
