Abstract The purpose of our project is to introduce industrial hemp as a healthier alternative to modern textiles by comparing textiles like cotton, polyester, and rayon, with hemp. Processing modern textiles uses NPEOs, which are endocrine disruptors that contribute to obesity. Industrial hemp is naturally antibacterial and protects the skin due to its chemical composition, meaning hemp is able to reduce exposure to NPEOS.
