| Abstract | I conducted this experiment to test porous materials that could potentially be used for driveways. Concrete/asphalt don’t let water through. This depletes the amount of groundwater which is a source of fresh water for 30% of Canadians. This also causes the water to run off into a sewer or into a natural waterway, which has other significant negative environmental effects including contamination and flooding. |
