Abstract Untreated nerve damage can lead to paralysis and intractable neuropathic pain, often requiring high-risk neurological treatments. In this project, the morphogenesis principles of slime molds were analyzed using Machine Learning to decode its unique cognitive functions in habituation. The use of physarum polycephalum to model artificial-intelligence was investigated to develop a more accurate estimation of recovery, nerve-mapping algorithm, and surgical allograft methods to treat neuropathy.
