Abstract Atopic dermatitis affects 2.6% globally, characterized by severe epidermal barrier dysfunction, and represents a significant health burden. Current treatments remain stagnant, failing to address asymptomatic physiological changes preceding flare-ups and real-time diagnostics. This project developed a dual-mode theranostic patch, utilizing pH-sensitive hydrogels and capillary-driven microneedles to facilitate early-stage detection and targeted moisture restoration, providing a low-cost, non-invasive solution mitigating skin degradation and enhancing patient compliance.
