Abstract The purpose of my experiment is to see which mask material is best at preventing the spread of bacteria. Whichever mask has the most bacteria is safest, because it captures most of the bacteria. The mask with the least amount of bacteria is the least safe, which means it would let the most bacteria pass through the mask. I will test the masks over 2, 4, and 7-hour time periods, with three participants per time period, to see how the amount of time the mask is worn impacts the number of bacteria they capture.
