Abstract The purpose of this project is to find out how direct reprogramming can transform one type of cell straight into another. This has huge implications in the medical field as it can be used to transform spare cells of the human body into other useful cells, to regenerate tissues and whole organs that people might need to survive. We will explore how transcription factors of cells can be used to reprogram the identity of cells.
