Abstract The purpose of our project was to explore and investigate the potential that CRISPR gene editing had to treat Dementia. Dementia is a devestating and crippling disease. However, our research have shown hope in treating PD, AD, and HD. As of right now, there is no direct cure for Dementia, and medication can only help to relieve symptoms. We wanted to examine the application of Crispr/Cas9 in Dementia and hopefully see the light at the end of the tunnel for individuals suffering from the disease.
