Abstract The purpose of my project is to examine the symptoms associated with MSG consumption, referred to as “Chinese Food Syndrome”. In addition I plan to establish if MSG improves flavour. By providing test subjects with food containing MSG and observing them for preference and symptoms I will establish whether MSG improves flavour and the health problems previously associated with MSG are indeed a myth.
