H05 : FLOOD WATER PURIFICATION AT HOME

Abstract The purpose of my project is to create a homemade water purification method that turns floodwater into drinkable water using household items. To be considered “drinkable water,” it must meet the WHO’s guidelines for the following factors: alkalinity, bacterial growth, total and free chlorine, water hardness, dissolved metals (Cu+2, Co+2, Zn+2, Cd+2, Ni+2 and Pb+2 ), nitrate plus nitrite, pH, and total dissolved solids (TDS).
