Abstract The purpose of this project was to explore a behaviour response exhibited by young fruit flies treated to different types of food and observe whether they respond differently in closed spaces. I was curious to know whether nutrition can change this behavior. By looking for nutrients that play a role in this behavior one can understand how the brain of the fly works. To demonstrate this I tested files with regular food, 24 hour starved files with and without water, files kept in Coca Cola, Diet Coke, and Coke Zero through this behaviour test which I call the “tunnel test”
