Abstract The purpose of this study is to compare what effects fast tempo and slow tempo music have on heart rate and blood pressure measurements between adults and children. 32 subjects were used in this study. 16 of them were adults and 16 were youth each of them split equally into 8 males and 8 females. Blood pressure and heart rate readings were taken pre-test, resting and after listening to each type of music. Data will be analysed to see the effects the two types of music have on blood pressure and heart rate.
