Abstract Dystonia is a neurological movement disorder that affects people of all ages and ethnicities. There are very few writing assistive devices for hand dystonia patients. We chose to develop a low tech, low profile, ambidextrous prototype, which would be inexpensive to produce and easy to use. This prototype would increase the ease and legibility of writing while mitigating pain and discomfort.
