Abstract Humans have changed the world some say for better but mostly for worse. What’s known as ‘Global warming’ or ‘Climate change’ is an example of how humans have changed the earth for worse. Most people don’t really understand environmental issues and if they do then they don’t know what to do about it. The purpose of this app is to help people be able to track what others have done and what they can do to improve the environment even if it’s just the small things it’s still helpful, specifically shrinking the size of the person's carbon footprint. There are many ways one can do this, less driving time for example. In this app there are only a few examples of ways to reduce their carbon footprint because the ways that are in the app are ways that are easier to do and have the biggest impact. The things being measured in the app are: the kilometers driven and in what type of car as well as number of people in the car, public transit, cycling, how many times a reusable water bottle is filled, number of plastic water bottles thrown away, how many baths are taken, the minutes spent in a shower, time spent on Tv’s, time spent on computers and time spent talking on a phone. The goal of the app is to get as little of a number as possible and you can also see your progress through the weeks and months and compare with your friends. The end result is that your carbon footprint should reduce. Yes this has been done before many times but this app is a bit tweaked. Most apps that are similar to this follow your carbon footprint over months or years but this app is a daily tracker trying to help reduce your carbon imprint. It uses things that happen daily like driving or being on electronics. It is a way to track if you improve at all throughout daily activities.
