Abstract Living in Canada, metals are impacted by water, road salt and rain of varying pH. The project was designed to measure the corrosive effects on Aluminum, Steel and Galvanized Steel when subjected to acid rain, salt water and distilled water. I wanted to test if having a protective wax barrier on these metals, when subjected to these common environmental conditions, would minimize the corrosion.
