Glioblastoma (GBM) is an aggressive brain tumour that rapidly remodels its surrounding brain environment. GBM cells release exosomes carrying messenger RNAs (mRNAs) capable of altering gene expression in recipient astrocytes, yet the functional intent of this transfer remains unclear. This study investigated whether GBM-produced exosomes (GBM-Exos) selectively package mRNAs that drive astrocytic hyper-secretory activity and aid in the tumour’s external resource acquisition. To assess this and to subsequently evaluate a targeted therapeutic strategy, a two-phase study was conducted. |
