| Abstract | The purpose of this project was to test how wildfire ash changes freshwater pH and to determine which simple treatment can restore it to a safe range for fish (6.5–8.5). This project connects to increasing wildfires in Canada and their impact on freshwater systems. It is especially relevant to Indigenous communities who rely on fishing for food and cultural practices. |
