| Abstract | Tardigrades are new interesting model organisms that share many similarities to humans including their nervous system. Regulations have restricted using vertebrae organisms in drug discovery. My project aims to explore the use of tardigrades to test neuromuscular functions through electrically stimulated assays. The results collected through this experiment can help scientists in the field of drug discovery to test the neurological effects of their substances. |
