Abstract The purpose of this project is to determine whether reaction time is affected more by silence, music, or engaging in conversation. The results of this experiment can be applied to distractions while on the road. For example, is it reasonable that there is a law against talking on the phone while driving? And, is it safe to be listening to music while driving?
