Abstract The purpose of this experiment is to find out if noise affects a person’s concentration or coordination. This is done by testing a person’s performance on tests of concentration and coordination in a silent environment and in a noisy, distracting environment. The results will be compared. This test is done because many people argue over the noise level in a classroom or study hall as being too loud, so this test will help others by proving that you do or do not need silence to work. Is there a good reason for teachers to insist on silence in the classroom?
