Abstract This project investigates whether abnormal tissue density can be detected using distributed acoustic impedance measurements without imaging. The goal is to develop a portable, low-cost, non-invasive screening method for early detection of breast cancer, particularly in low-resource or underserved settings, by classifying tissue models based on mechanical properties rather than visual images.
