Abstract The purpose of this project is to design a metal–organic framework-based hydrogen storage and delivery system for aviation applications. The project aims to resolve challenges in designing an MOF structure with high volumetric capacity and weight percentage, a shape that compensates for expansion and heat dissipation when absorbing hydrogen, the ability to release hydrogen, and tank structures that allow the MOF to fit on the aircraft.
