Abstract The purpose of this project is to design an innovative elevator system that efficiently uses less vertical space in a building than traditional elevators and can effectively transport people between buildings. As a self-powered elevator, this system does not rely on hoisting cables which is why it is able to transport people or freight both vertically and horizontally within and between buildings.
