Abstract Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, is hijacked by cancer to cause tumor malignancy and metastasis. However, current angiogenesis models fail to address the heterogeneity of cancerous vasculature and the chemical biology of the tumor microenvironment, bottlenecking drug discovery efforts. A novel computational approach to analyzing the morphology of angiogenesis through mathematical chaos theory was investigated to objectively explain biological networks for therapeutic development.
