| Abstract | This research will assess the coagulating efficiency of an undiscovered biocoagulant; Cyperus-esculentus (Tigernut), in reducing high to low (1000-75 NTU) turbidity in synthetic turbid water and to determine the optimal conditions (pH, dosage amount) to enhance the coagulating activity of the extracted Tigernut proteins. This research will design a potable process model for household use in developing countries and offer an alternative to chemical coagulants. |
