Abstract My project explains the science behind chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy (CAR-T), which utilizes genetically modified T-cells of a patient to use their body’s own immune system to fight disease. CAR-T is revolutionizing the treatment of different cancers. However, I hypothesize that with current research pointing to a potential role of T-cells in Alzheimer’s Disease, CAR-T may one day also provide a cure for this disease.
