Abstract We used Caenorhabditis elegans nematodes, of the standard strain N2, and performed RNAi on several target genes including L4440, alg1, pek1, hbl1, T09B4.8 which have been found to be involved in aging, based on their expression patterns from an earlier RNA-sequencing analysis. We hypothesized that with our experimental manipulation of these genes, there might be a change observed in the life span of the nematodes.
