| Abstract | The goal of this study is to develop an insulin pump that lowers deaths caused by malfunctions. This will be accomplished by programming an insulin pump to emit a loud beep or, in the case of deaf individuals, a persistent, intense vibrating sensation. This will motivate the insulin pump user to report a malfunction and immediately obtain a replacement. |
