Abstract The purpose of this project is to investigate how different household solutions affect how quickly metal rusts. By comparing rust formation in tap water, vinegar, salt water, Coke, and Windex, the experiment identifies which liquids speed up or slow down corrosion. Understanding these effects explains why everyday substances cause metal to deteriorate at different rates and helps people better protect metal items in their homes.
