Abstract The purpose of this project was to investigate how differences in the type of structure of a unit cell (many unit cells create a crystal lattice), influenced differences in atomic density between unit cells. In addition, by comparing unit cell structure, to a calculated atomic density, and to trends of atomic mass and ionic radii (in the periodic table), it was found how various variables that contribute crystal lattice structure, influence trends in atomic density.
