Tooth enamel is constantly exposed to acids from foods and drinks, which can lead to erosion and dental problems. Although saliva and calcium are known to protect enamel, frequent acid exposure can still cause damage over time. Using eggs as a tooth model, my experiment investigates how saliva, calcium, and their combination protect enamel when acid exposure occurs.. The results will show how protective factors such as saliva and calcium help maintain enamel health and fight against acid erosion. |
