| Abstract | Despite significant advances in cancer research, breast cancer remains a global health challenge. The purpose of this project is to investigate how steroid hormones regulate proliferation and intracellular signalling in different breast cancer subtypes. By performing proliferation assays and western blots on MCF7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines, I explored how differences in receptor expression and hormonal response can contribute to or ameliorate tumour progression. |
