Abstract There is no emotion detector on the market, and many families aren’t able to support their child, whether it’s the price of therapy, or being around enough while they're working. My device works by processing the facial expression that is being captured by the camera, and sending a video signal to a processor, processing what has been recorded. If the child is experiencing a negative emotion, the device can help the child by giving suitable advice. Whether they're mad, anxious, or sad, the Emotion in Motion tool will use CBT and/or therapy-inspired strategies to help them cope and return them to an overall better state.
