Abstract Climate change is a big problem in our world today. Experts agree that the burning of fossil fuels is the main cause of climate change and the use of renewable energy is a good solution for this problem. In Hamilton, Ontario, generation of hydroelectric power is underutilized. I have created a new FLOW waterpipe that is able to generate hydroelectric power from wastewater travelling through city pipes. I feel this solution is excellent for Hamilton because the city has over 5300kms of waterpipes, has an escarpment that these pipes travel down and has am immediate need to replace many of its’ pipes.
