Abstract The purpose of this experiment is to determine the pharmacological potential of two naturally occurring agents to treat chronic lymphedema. The pharmacological goal is to reduce the interstitial fluid accumulation associated with lymphedema through reactivation of the lymphatic smooth muscle, reparation of lymphatic endothelial cell layer permeability, and stimulation of depressed macrophage function.
