Abstract The purpose of this research is to determine if peer pressure affects self-control negatively. This research builds on the original Marshmallow Test focusing on self-control, whereas the main focus in this experiment is peer pressure. The original research used pre-schoolers because older participants would have more self-control. Kindergartens to third graders were chosen for this experiment because peer pressure begins affecting them at this age.
