Abstract This project seeks to develop a superior tanker railway car constructed with specially impregnated cement fabric to form a durable chemically resistant, water/fire proof canvas that will house a bladder constructed of Kevlar impregnated with Shear Thickening Fluid; for the prevention of tanker car on-track incident/ accident probability. This novel experiment will help to prevent future catastrophic events, as witnessed in Lac-Megantic Quebec in 2013.
