Abstract My engineering goal is to develop and build an off-peak energy manager (O.P.E.M.) Android application, which will produce electrical savings, using wireless-home-automation devices. An O.P.E.M. application, controlled by Android, would give suggestions to the user and commands to wireless-home-automated devices, to reduce power-grid loading. This system would be beneficial for generating consumer savings on numerous household devices. Currently, such a management system is not available.
