Abstract Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in Canada. Only 35% of eligible Canadians are screened because of the reported “ICK Factor” related to people’s discomfort handling their stool. The purpose of this project was to develop innovative ways of collecting stool samples for testing that are more comfortable and acceptable and that will help to increase the rate of colorectal cancer screening.
