Abstract The purpose of the experiment was to see if mirrors effected the amount of energy absorbed by a solar panel. The experiment was done by placing a solar panel over a light and adding mirrors. When the light was turned on the amount of energy was recorded and a mirror was placed under facing the solar panel then the energy was recorded again, this was repeated until five mirrors were added. It was found that every mirror increased the amount of energy by approximately four volts. In conclusion the mirrors did increase the solar panels output but by very little.
