Abstract The purpose of this experiment is to see if playing video games could be used to improve mental reaction time. The reason is that many jobs require employees to make quick decisions. For example, surgeons need to be quick thinkers to react to any unforeseen complication during surgery; military personnel is another example, as they may also need to make quick decisions on the battlefield and react to surprise situations; Professional sports players need to react quickly and make choices to as they make plays for their team; stock brokers, who deal with making financial trades, need to be able to think quickly and react quickly while making trades. These are just a few examples, but there are many more. Mental reaction time is a great quality to have, and if you can find ways to improve it, all could benefit from it.
