Abstract Iron is a very strong metal that has many applications in our daily life. It is used in construction of buildings, bridges, railways, ships, automotive industry etc. Iron is also used to make household items such as scissors, nails, tools, cutlery and many more. But there is a common problem with iron; it gets rusted, which makes it weaker, brittle and out of use. It can become costly if those items would constantly have to be replaced. There are many different things that cause iron to rust such as oxygen or water. However, in this experiment, we see how temperature affects rust and why.
