| Abstract | Investigate effects of; Clostridium acetobutylicum, Clostridium sporogenes, Micrococcus luteus; on steel samples with no coating; PPG PSX®800-High Gloss Blue; or PPG PSX®805-Satin Blue. Microbial Induced Corrosion of pipelines and bridges is a growing concern and is important to understand causes of corrosion and if coatings can minimize it. Steel is tested for mass changes, physical properties, and using a colorimeter/1-10-phenanthroline to determine Fe2+ concentrations. |
