| Abstract | The purpose of this project is to find out how long our YBCO superconductor can levitate after being coated with different types of thermal insulators; this insulation will avoid the thermal shock of the superconductor when it’s submerged in liquid nitrogen (LN), and will prevent the heating of the superconductor by room temperature, which will make it stop levitating. |
