Abstract Abstract When timing means everything your cell phone could actually slow you down. Having resources right at your fingertips may make a difference between life or death. The majority of the population carries a cell phone on them. However, to the elderly, using a cell phone can be a challenging task. Locating the cell phone on them is often a challenging task. The Life Band is here to help. By giving the wearer easy access to make emergency calls and or text messages with a click of a button. The Life Band is also equipped to carry aspirin in the event of a heart attack. It is strongly recommended to take aspirin as soon as symptoms occur. Every second wasted scrambling to find aspirin, could increase the severity of the attack. Another feature of the Life Band is to remind the wearer when to take medication. Missed medication can cause health problems in an individual, which may, end up with a trip to the hospital. The inspiration behind the Life Band is my grandmother, who on occasion I hear say, “oh my, I forgot to take my medication”. The Life Band is customizable through an app on the phone. In the app the wearer can select who to call/text and when to take medications. The Life Band not only makes lives easier, but could save lives.
