Twelve Bay Area students won top awards at the Canada-Wide science fair, held May 14 to 21 in Montreal.
Sixteen area students competed against almost 500 of the best students from across Canada at the National Fair, with their trips funded by the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair (BASEF). BASEF is the regional science fair for grades 7 to 12 students from Hamilton, Halton Region, Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant Counties, and Six Nations.

Students representing the Bay Area as part of Team Canada brought home top awards from the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (IISEF), held May 8 to 13 in Phoenix, Arizona.
